Several times a month, I interview "Rich Guys" as part of my "Wealthy Secrets" Success coaching club. I ask them their secrets to life, money and success. And I have made interesting discoveries. What does the statement “be rich in all areas of life” mean to you?
 
It means being a well-rounded person. I have met and worked with some very powerful and wealthy individuals. What I found was that no matter how talented and powerful they were, most struggled in personal relationships or in other areas of their lives. We have all learned from Hollywood that beauty, wealth, power, and fame are not always what they appear to be. These things also do not equal a great relationship with others or with one’s inner being. I believe being rich or "well-rounded" is an inside job. It’s a life-long process, requiring inner work, tapping into your purpose, and living your best life now. It is crucial to learn to stay connected with your higher self (a.k.a. inner being).

How do you think the sexes’ relationship to money differs?

From childhood, girls and boys are treated differently when it comes to money. First of all, girls aren't exposed to enough financial education. Secondly, we are socialized to believe that our prince charming will take care of us. Well, the truth is we must be self-reliant, even if we are lucky enough to have a prince charming. Why? We need to learn the value of a dollar. I have been teaching my daughter about money. You cannot start early enough with kids. Personally, I think we all need more assistance in learning the art of money and money management. As part of the Affimint series, I have a new CD releasing called InvestMINTS! Currently, I am writing a book called RICH MOM POOR MOM. It’s all about money - how to get it, how to keep it, how to plant it, and how to watch it grow!!!

"I have finished reading your book. It is very good, easy to follow and makes sense to me. I have one question though. I have started doing creative visualization...for instance for a bigger home for us, feeling it with all my senses. So, if I saw my dream house, felt it elaborately, saw and felt the happiness of relatives, friends who were invited for the house warming. Then what? Do I do it everyday....same visualization till it is manifested? Or do it just once and then let it go? You did mention in your book to start from where you left off, but does that mean I do it for one day for my dream house and then next day I do it for my dream job followed by action that needs to be taken and that's enough?"

Dear Dreaming:

I always say "Set your intention, and then let it go." You don't want to be obsessed with or fret over your intention. Instead, you want to visualize it, put it in writing (remember the BE, DO, HAVE list), and then let it go. Don't worry about how you will be, do or have these things. If your intention is clear and you're optimistic, passionate, and committed to your vision, the means for achieving it will come to you. The how-to's will simply begin to manifest in ways more magnificent than you can imagine.

I also say, "Visualize your endgame, and set milestones to achieve it." So visualize your endgame as a ‘larger house’, and instead of focusing on the ‘larger house’, create smaller, daily goals you can achieve: such as qualifying for a home loan, getting a real estate agent, going to open houses, touring neighborhoods you would like to live, etc.

So instead of focusing on feelings of lack and scarcity that you don't have your ‘larger house’, focus on and be grateful for what you do have and your daily achievements. And, before you know it, your goal of having a ‘larger house’ will manifest in ways unimaginable.
